Funding period: from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2029.
The aim of the project is to create 30 childcare places for children under the age of 3 in the nursery and to subsidise the operation of these places for 36 months. The funding is intended for all children enrolled in our nursery, including children with disabilities or requiring special care, until the end of the school year in which the child turns 3, or longer where applicable, in accordance with the Act of 4 February 2011 on childcare for children up to the age of 3 and the Act of 12 March 2022 on assistance to Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict in the territory of that country.
“Aktywnie w żłobku” subsidy
The government’s “Aktywny Rodzic” programme is part of a reform of the support system for families with children under the age of 3. It introduced three new forms of support for parents:
• “Aktywnie w żłobku”
• „Aktywnie w domu”
• “Aktywni rodzice w pracy” (the so-called grandparent benefit)
At the Maluszek nursery, parents can use the “Aktywnie w żłobku” benefit, which helps cover childcare costs. The programme is intended to make it easier for parents to return to work while ensuring the best possible care for young children.
Who can receive the subsidy?
The benefit is available to parents of children attending a nursery or children’s club, or cared for by a day carer. The following people may also apply:
• parents with alternating custody
• de facto and legal guardians
• foster carers
Importantly, the benefit is not means-tested and is available to everyone who meets the eligibility criteria.
WHEN IS THE BENEFIT NOT AVAILABLE?
Under the “Aktywny Rodzic” programme, only one benefit can be received in any given month. This means that if a parent has already been granted “Aktywnie w domu” or “Aktywni rodzice w pracy”, the “Aktywnie w żłobku” subsidy cannot be received in the same month.
BENEFIT AMOUNT
The subsidy is up to 1,500 zł per month per child, but it cannot exceed the nursery attendance fee (excluding meal costs).
For children with a disability certificate, the benefit may amount to up to 1,900 zł per month.
HOW IS THE BENEFIT PAID?
Funds from the programme are not paid directly to parents — they are transferred to the Maluszek nursery’s account. Once received, the facility automatically reduces the monthly tuition fee by the amount of the subsidy granted.
HOW TO APPLY?
Applications can be submitted from 1 October 2024, exclusively online via PUE ZUS.
The application can be submitted no earlier than the day your child starts attending the Maluszek nursery. Information about the award of the benefit will be available directly in your ZUS account.
